The Story of ChemCom
ChemCom Industries was established in 1972 as a general partnership of Dutch chemical companies Akzo and DSM. Then called Methanol Chemie Nederland, the company consisted of a methanol plant, two downstream plants for the production of formaldehyde and a resin production unit with two large reactors for the production of adhesives for the wood processing industry. These products still are a key element in ChemCom Industries’ current product range.
We have traditionally specialized in formaldehyde solutions, urea (melamine)-formaldehyde derivatives and the distribution of methanol. In addition to optimizing our existing products and making them more sustainable, we also focus on developing and offering innovative, ecologically based, “green” chemistry applications.
